Janča - Hello
I´m really really sorry, that I have no time to give here something. So...something about today. When I have had lesson in school, we were talking about Scotland. 15 minutes in English! I know, it isn´t much but when I must form the sentenses, I have feeling, that I have too much headspace. But I have feeling, that my English is better and better. These are first small steps but I´m very happy. Thanks Chalibda, that you teach us. It was perfect idea to start with this school. :-)
My new video
I know, I'm really horrible with this publicity... But I made my first video yesterday and now I want to tell this to everybody!!! No, sorry, but I'm.... really excited. So there is the video: It's about Jack Twist and Ennis del Mar from film Brokeback mountain and the song is Into the West performed by Annie Lennox (chali wrote about its few articles down). I really love this film and I love my own video! Is this normal? No, I please you for comments. Here or better on Youtube. Thank you very much...
popular songs
now I am listening your songs from youtube .... I like it :-)
I remember my favourite "chanson singer" Charles Aznavour .
...oh yes ... french language ... but this is song in english "Yesterday when I was young " ... Absolutely beautiful song.
( sorry ... I know - I am so much old person ... this isn´t modern music)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yV7MELY44DQ
Yesterday when I was young,
The taste of life was sweet as rain upon my tongue,
I teased at life as if it were a foolish game,
The way the evening breeze may tease a candle flame;
The thousand dreams I dreamed,
The splendid things I planned I always built, alas,
on weak and shifting sand;
I lived by night and shunned the naked light of day
And only now I see how the years ran away.
Yesterday
When I was young,
So many drinking songs were waiting to be sung,
So many wayward pleasures lay in store for me
And so much pain my dazzled eyes refused to see,
I ran so fast that time and youth at last ran out,
I never stopped to think what life was all about
And every conversation I can now recall concerned itself with me,
and nothing else at all.
Yesterday the moon was blue,
and every crazy day brought something new to do,
I used my magic age as if it were a wand,
and never saw the waste and emptiness beyond;
The game of love I played with arrogance and pride
and every flame I lit too quickly, quickly died;
The friends I made all seemed somehow to drift away
And only I am left on stage to end the play.
There are so many songs in me that won't be sung,
I feel the bitter taste of tears upon my tongue,
The time has come for me to pay
for Yesterday When I was Young.

My favourite song.
Now is this my favourite song: :)
Falling Slowly - Glen Hansard
I don’t know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can’t react
And games that never amount
To more than they’re meant
Will play themselves out
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You’ve made it now
Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can’t go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I’m painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourselfIt’s time that you won
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You’ve made it now
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You’ve made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I’ll sing along

Hello everybody! I´m finally here. Because I´m not brave like Gryffindors, I´m afraid of English, so I ran away from Ravenclaw to Slytherin:), just after first test:)) But now I must study, nothing doing:)))
Is there someone from Slytherin? Can you tell me, please, what time is your chat? Thanks.
And now I have a little present for you: http://www.quizilla.com/users/StartUpTheEngine/quizzes/

Characteristics
I have found the interesting description of the students of our four houses. They differ in the way of solving problems:
A Gryffindor will jump off a cliff.
A Slytherin will push someone else off.
A Hufflepuff will call in five hundred other Hufflepuffs and they´ll carve a stairway.
A Ravenclaw will get hold of a flying carpet.
Gryffindors assume their own blood and tears will solve any problem. And Slytherins assume they´re entitled to anything they need.
Quite fitting, don´t you think? :))

Greeting from Hufflepuff :-)
I just wanted to say hallo to everyone. I'm studying for my last exam right now and I don't have much time for writing .-(
Hi:D
My name is Eva, I am 18 and I am from ravenclaw. I like holiday, sleeping, holiday, sleeping... that´s why I don´t kow, what I am doing here... thanks for songs, I think too, that it is a good way to improve english...
Hi, so I'm here again. I read two articles from nika and chali and I was excited! English songs are great way to learn English. I improved my pronunciation with them. One from my favourite is "Behind blue eyes" playing by Limp Bizkit and I found for you one amazing video with Severus. The song tells so much about him. I recommend you to translate text, it's really about him.
Behind Blue Eyes
No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes
And no one knows
What it's like to be hated
To be fated to telling only lies
[Refrén:]
But my dreams they aren't as empty
As my conscience seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free
No one knows what its like
To feel these feelings
Like i do, and i blame you!
No one bites back as hard
On their anger
None of my pain and woe
Can show through
[Refrén]
Discover l.i.m.p. say it [x4]
No one knows what its like
To be mistreated, to be defeated
Behind blue eyes
No one knows how to say
That they're sorry and don't worry
I'm not telling lies
[Refrén]
No one knows what its like
To be the bad man, to be the sad man
Behind blue eyes.
P.S.: Behind black eyes could be better...:)

This is my favorite song. Fren Walsh wrote it when son of her died. It´s very sad song, but also very hopeful.
Lay down,
your sweet and weary head.
Night is falling.
You have come to journey’s end.
Sleep now,and dream
of the ones who came before.
They are calling,
from across a distant shore.
Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see.
All of your fears will pass away.
Safe in my arms,
you’re only sleeping.
What can you see,
on the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea,
a pale moon rises.
The ships have come,
to carry you home.
And all will turn,
to silver glass.
A light on the water.
All souls pass.
Hope fades,
Into the world of night.
Through shadows falling,
Out of memory and time.
Don’t say,
We have come now to the end.
White shores are calling.
You and I will meet again.
And you’ll be here in my arms,
Just sleeping.
What can you see,
on the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea,
a pale moon rises.
The ships have come,
to carry you home.
And all will turn,
to silver glass.
A light on the water.
Grey ships pass
Into the West.
Lay down,
your sweet and weary head.
Night is falling.
You have come to journey’s end.
Sleep now,and dream

They are calling,

a riddle :-)
Hi everybody, today I have got one little riddle for all.
This is part of text my favourite song. ( blue font)
Do you know title song and singer ?
-------------------
You can't start a fire
You can't start a fire without a spark
This gun's for hire
Even if we're just dancing in the dark
Message keeps getting clearer
Radio's on and I'm moving 'round the place
I check my look in the mirror
I wanna change my clothes, my hair, my face
Man, I ain't getting nowhere just living in a dump like this
There's something happening somewhere
Baby I just know that there is
---------------------------
I´m apologize for my grammar :-) ... I´m from Hufflepuff
